Basketball Game Preview: Patrick Henry Patriots vs. Archbold Blue Streaks

Patrick Henry is 1-9 against Archbold since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Patrick Henry Patriots will head out to square off against the Archbold Blue Streaks at 7:30 p.m. Patrick Henry will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Monday, Patrick Henry took their contest with ease, bagging a 68-39 victory over Stryker. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archbold). They enjoyed a cozy 71-57 win over Defiance on Tuesday. The Blue Streaks pushed the score to 63-41 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

Patrick Henry's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for Archbold, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Patrick Henry came up short against Archbold in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 60-53. Can Patrick Henry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
