Basketball Recap: Wahluke Comes Up Short

Wahluke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt an 82-21 loss at the hands of the Zillah Leopards. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 96-9 back in December of 2024.

Wahluke's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Zillah, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wahluke won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Naches Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Naches Valley will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Wahluke surely won't give up without a fight. As for Zillah, they and Connell will face off at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
