Basketball Recap: Central Catholic Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

While Central Catholic didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Solon Comets by a score of 68-55 on Saturday. For the Fighting Irish, this counts as revenge for the 73-52 victory the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Central Catholic pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Solon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Catholic will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Lima Senior at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Solon, they will head out to take on Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mayfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.7 points per game this season.
