Conifer was the 3-2 winner over Standley Lake when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lobos took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators on Monday. The Lobos' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Conifer started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 28-26, 25-11, 25-17.

Sage Bishop paced Conifer's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bishop got some help from Hayden Buscher and her 30 assists. Keira Tracy controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Standley Lake had a senior duo take command as Alivia Lambrecht-Gardner had eight digs and three aces and Maryn Paulson had 14 digs and one assist. Lambrecht-Gardner is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Conifer's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Standley Lake, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Conifer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against D'Evelyn on the 9th. As for Standley Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Evergreen on the 8th.
