Baseball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Verdugo Hills Dons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Dons this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat on Saturday.

Kennedy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rocky Marin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Jose Gutierrez was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Verdugo Hills, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kennedy will face off against rival Poly at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Verdugo Hills is set to challenge their familiar foe North Hollywood at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
