            Baseball Recap: Stratford Tigers vs. Wausau East Lumberjacks        
        
		
        
        
            If Stratford was feeling good  fresh off their  13-1 takedown of Neillsville/Granton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Wausau East Lumberjacks by a score of  6-4 on Monday. The Tigers were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Lumberjacks from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
 Brady Berg was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched. Berg was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Berg wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jack Tubbs, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wausau East, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
 Stratford has  already played their next  match (against Loyal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wausau East, they will be playing at home against Antigo  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
