Recap: Regents Knights vs. Cornerstone Christian Warriors
The Regents Knights can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They snuck past Cornerstone Christian with a 59-54 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Regents, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Cornerstone Christian still got an impressive performance from Benjamin Wagner, who scored 23 points along with three blocks. Zander Parra was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Regents' win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Cornerstone Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-12.
Regents will take on Savio at TBD on Tuesday. Savio will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1201st, while Regents is ranked 425th). As for Cornerstone Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Sacred Heart at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
