TRENTON, Fla. -
Trenton (Fla.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 15 in the fourth quarter to seal a 50-21 victory over
Lafayette (Mayo, Fla.).
After taking the lead on a
Melvin Adams touchdown run in the second quarter, the Tigers were up 20-8 at the half.
Each side put up 14 points during the third quarter, and at the beginning of the fourth it was still a 12 point game.
With the win Trenton extended its winning streak to eight games. Trenton defeated St. Francis Catholic 48-14 last week.
The Hornets came in allowing just 13.0 points per game this season. Lafayette struggled against Trenton's offense, which entered the game scoring 43.1 points per game.
