Football Game Preview: First Academy Eagles vs. Real Life Christian Academy Raptors

Two dominant signal callers in Henry Purvis and Caleb Burden are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The First Academy Eagles will welcome the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, First Academy put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past St. John Lutheran 55-34. With the Eagles ahead 41-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

First Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rayce Teate led the charge by picking up 75 receiving yards and two scores. Teate also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending three passes. Luke Rutzebeck was another key pass catcher, picking up 58 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Real Life Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Geneva Classical Academy 48-32.

Real Life Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for First Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
