Matoaca is 9-1 against Colonial Heights since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Matoaca's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Colonial Heights has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Matoaca's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Dinwiddie. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Kaylee Hodges's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Raven Crabtree was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Millner, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Matoaca hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dinwiddie struck out 14 times.

Meanwhile, Colonial Heights came up short against Meadowbrook last Thursday and fell 8-3.

Colonial Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Matoaca, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Matoaca took their victory against Colonial Heights when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Colonials have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
