Basketball Recap: Berkeley Prep Buccaneers vs. Academy at the Lakes Wildcats

The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Academy at the Lakes for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-26 victory at home.

Berkeley Prep was led to victory by Lila grace Strain and Maddie Dean. Strain scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Dean dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Strain is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Priyanka Makati, who scored four points along with three steals.

Berkeley Prep's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Academy at the Lakes, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.

Berkeley Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Academy at the Lakes, they will square off against the Warriors at TBD on Wednesday. Seven Rivers Christian is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
