Basketball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline lost to North Sand Mountain back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings fell 50-44 to the Bison. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Bison are ranked 37th).

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for North Sand Mountain, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

Looking ahead, Skyline won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Madison County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Sand Mountain, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Cherokee County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
