Volleyball Recap: Huntley Comes Up Short

Huntley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Lake Zurich Bears. If the Red Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Bears when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Huntley may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 21 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21.

Huntley's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Lake Zurich, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-3 record this season.

Huntley will take on Harlem at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Zurich, they will face off against New Trier at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
