Basketball Game Preview: San Juan Broncos vs. Rockwell Marshals

The San Juan Broncos and the Rockwell Marshals will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

San Juan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Grand County by a score of 76-64 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Meanwhile, Rockwell came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lions 83-39.

Rockwell had a senior duo take command as Alex Martinez went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points and Kaysen Rife went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points.

San Juan's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Rockwell, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

San Juan was able to grind out a solid victory over Rockwell in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, winning 69-58. Will San Juan repeat their success, or does Rockwell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
