Volleyball Recap: Aquinas Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Aquinas won the last time they faced La Crosse Central and Aubrey Coyne did her part to make sure it happened again. The Blugolds were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Riverhawks on Tuesday with plenty of help from Coyne, who had 18 digs and five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Aquinas never let La Crosse Central on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.

La Crosse Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabriella Zeeb, who had 18 digs.

Aquinas has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season. As for La Crosse Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Aquinas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Tomah on the 16th. La Crosse Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
