Basketball Recap: Maple Shade Takes a Loss

Maple Shade lost against Pennsauken Tech back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Maple Shade Wildcats took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pennsauken Tech.

Pennsauken Tech had a senior duo take command as Omari Spencer dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards and Xavier Melendez went 6-for-7 to rack up 15 points. Spencer is becoming a predictor of Pennsauken Tech's success: when he posts at least ten rebounds the team is 6-1 (and 6-10 when he doesn't). James Stout was another key player, putting up three points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Maple Shade has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Pennsauken Tech, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-11.

Maple Shade has already played their next contest (against Riverside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pennsauken Tech also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Schalick.
