Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask J.H. Rose). They strolled past the New Bern Bears with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 51-37. That's more bragging rights for the Rampants, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
J.H. Rose got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alaya Clemons out in front who posted 20 points. Kahrin Highsmith was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
J.H. Rose's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for New Bern, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. J.H.
