Basketball Recap: Oak Hills Highlanders vs. Sycamore Aviators
Oak Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sycamore Aviators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-45 back in January.
Sycamore found their leader in freshman Emma Christerson, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc to rack up 19 points. Christerson's afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kenadie Benjamin, who posted ten points and six assists.
Oak Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Sycamore, they pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Looking ahead, Oak Hills will face off against Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sycamore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
