Starting off the list is Bellevue West's Will Anderson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Sadly, Jace Erickson posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Lincoln Southwest over Bellevue West on Thursday. Erickson rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defended two passes.
Lincoln Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. Erickson and Lincoln Southwest will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Omaha North at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.
