Basketball Game Preview: Clovis East Timberwolves vs. Clovis West Golden Eagles

Clovis East is 1-9 against Clovis West since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Clovis East Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Clovis West Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Clovis East knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Clovis West likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Clovis East came up short against Clovis North and fell 72-60. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Broncos are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Clovis West was able to grind out a solid victory over Central on Friday, taking the game 74-67.

Clovis West has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Clovis East, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
