Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Ridge vs. Weber

The Mountain Ridge Sentinels will face off against the Weber Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Ridge's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Mountain Ridge fought the good fight in their overtime game against East on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Leopards by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Mountain Ridge have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Weber kept a clean sheet against Riverton on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Silverwolves by a score of 2-0. That two goal margin sets a new team best for Weber this season.

Sadie Fletcher was the driving force of Weber's attack as she scored both of Weber's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

Weber's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for Mountain Ridge, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Mountain Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over Weber in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, winning 4-2. Do the Sentinels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
