Liberty Christian put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos with a sharp 58-38 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Flying Flucos are ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fluvanna County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Krysteon Shelton, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lacy McCloud, who had four points in addition to five boards and four blocks.

Liberty Christian pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Fluvanna County, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Liberty Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 44-28 victory against Rustburg on the 8th. As for Fluvanna County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Waynesboro at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th.
