Volleyball Recap: Valencia Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

Valencia waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Miyamura Patriots 3-0. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

While Valencia won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-6, 25-18.

Valencia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payslei Henry, who had ten assists and six aces. Those six aces gave Henry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Monique Chavez, who had six digs and four aces.

Valencia's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Miyamura, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Valencia has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Santa Teresa on the 20th. As for Miyamura, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Farmington on the 23rd.
