Basketball Recap: Foster Has No Trouble Against Sterling

Foster won the last time they faced Sterling and things went their way on Friday too. The Foster Falcons strolled past the Sterling Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 66-49.

Despite the loss, Sterling still got an impressive performance from Destiny Lewis, who went 12 of 20 on her way to 34 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The game was Lewis' 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Smith, who posted four points and five assists.

Foster's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Sterling, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Foster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-31 win against Fort Bend Christian Academy on the 10th. As for Sterling, they will challenge Spring Woods at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Woods is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.
