Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Wiregrass Ranch

Wiregrass Ranch had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Kj Smith did his part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls took down the Carrollwood Day Patriots 82-67 thanks in part to Smith, who posted 19 points along with eight boards and five assists. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Donovan Gaines was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven assists and three steals. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January.

Wiregrass Ranch's record now sits at 6-1. As for Carrollwood Day, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Wiregrass Ranch will be playing in front of their home fans against Wesley Chapel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carrollwood Day, they will venture away from home to square off against Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Calvary Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
