Baseball Recap: Estes Park Bobcats vs. Weld Central Rebels
Estes Park barely beat Weld Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Estes Park's pitcher stepped up to hand Weld Central a 14-0 shutout on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bobcats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Matthias Westley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Caleb Sumner was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Estes Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weld Central only posted an OBP of .211.
