Bentonville West took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Rogers Heritage, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolverines won by a run and slipped past the War Eagles 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Wolverines sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jonathan Veira, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Kadean Jacobs was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Bentonville West pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Rogers Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Bentonville West will have a chance to go back-to-back against the War Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
