Volleyball Recap: Highland Huskies vs. Dawson School Mustangs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clear Creek, Highland was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Dawson School Mustangs 3-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 25-15.
Highland's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Dawson School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
Highland will head out to square off against Bishop Machebeuf at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Machebeuf is coming into the match with three straight wins at home, so Highland will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. After both having extra time off, Dawson School and Gilpin County will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Gilpin County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Dawson School surely won't give up without a fight.
