Basketball Recap: Flowery Branch Triumphs

Flowery Branch can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Walnut Grove Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 57-56. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2018.

Flowery Branch's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Walnut Grove, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Flowery Branch and Walnut Grove could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Flowery Branch (ranked 298th) will meet North Oconee (ranked 38th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Walnut Grove will square off against Madison County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday down 329 places (382 vs. 53).
