Softball Game Preview: Gilmer Buckeyes vs. Henderson Lions

Gilmer has won five straight games at home, while Henderson has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Gilmer Buckeyes will welcome the Henderson Lions at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Gilmer's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Chapel Hill with a sharp 17-0 win. The Buckeyes haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Henderson challenged Spring Hill on Friday. Henderson blew past Spring Hill 10-2.

Henderson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. Gilmer's win bumped their record up to 13-2-2.
