Football Recap: Judson Rockets vs. Steele Knights
Judson played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Steele Knights. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Dominique Davis Jr threw for 72 yards and one touchdown. Justin Alexander was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards. On the ground, Brayden Smith rushed for 37 yards.
Marshall Kenner had an outrageously good game for Steele as he rushed for 105 yards and a pair of scores. Those 105 rushing yards gave Kenner a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Liam Jones, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Judson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Steele, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
Coincidentally, Judson and Steele will both be playing San Marcos the next time they take the field. The Rockets will host the Rattlers at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th, while the Knights will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
