Fishers took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Hamilton Southeastern Royals 3-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
One reason for the win was Fishers' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-13.
Their offense was headlined by Ethan Luenemann and Drew Fisher, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Jake Thomas and his 14 assists. Davis Theobald and Jack Powell kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Fishers will square off against Noblesville at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they will face off against North Putnam at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
