Soccer Recap: Gibson Southern Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Gibson Southern was not quite Evansville North's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies. Gibson Southern haven't had much luck with Evansville North recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Gibson Southern's goal came courtesy of Jeremiah Mullennax, which was the first he's scored this season.

Gibson Southern's loss dropped their record down to 11-3-1. As for Evansville North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Gibson Southern and Evansville North should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Titans will challenge Forest Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (94 vs. 201). Meanwhile, Evansville North (ranked 31st) will meet Evansville Bosse (ranked 288th) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
