Glenbard West has gone a perfect 5-0 against Lake Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hilltoppers will look to defend their home court against the Lancers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Glenbard West turned things around against Wheaton North on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Falcons 2-1.

Glenbard West was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (73-72), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-23, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Lake Park was able to grind out a solid win over Conant on Wednesday, taking the game 2-0. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lake Park easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15.

Glenbard West better focus on containing Evelyn Voytek and Deven Townsend as the pair were huge in Lake Park's win. Voytek had 17 assists and four digs, while Townsend had ten digs and two assists. That's the most assists Townsend has posted since back in September.

Lake Park's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Glenbard West, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.

Glenbard West came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Hilltoppers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
