Baseball Game Preview: Wister Wildcats vs. Arapaho Indians

The Wister Wildcats will face off against the Arapaho Indians on Thursday. Wister is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Wister's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Hartshorne as they made off with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 17 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Joel Meeh looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Preston Perez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dartyn Meeks, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Wister always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hartshorne only posted an OBP of .263.

Meanwhile, Arapaho had to kick off their season on the road back in March, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out Caddo 2-1.

Wister's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Arapaho, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
