Calvert entered their tilt with Ottawa Hills on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Green Bears. For the Senecas, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Green Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2016.
Vincenzo Lyons made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
