Softball Recap: South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls vs. Anson Bearcats
South Stanly can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They never let the Anson Bearcats onto the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for South Stanly who now have three in a row.
Kinsley Tyson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Tyson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Tyson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Cassidy Smith was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mary-Ryan Hinson, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
On Anson's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Steagall, who went 1-for-1 with a double.
