Soccer Game Preview: Florida State University High School vs. Santa Fe

The Florida State University High School Seminoles will head out on the road to take on the Santa Fe Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Florida State University High School took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Buchholz. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Seminoles were the better team in the second half.

Keenen Jeune and Diego Hernandez Avelar scored both of Florida State University High School's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe won against Bishop Kenny on Tuesday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. Santa Fe came out on top against Suwannee by a score of 4-2. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Florida State University High School's record is now 7-2-2. As for Santa Fe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
