Baseball Recap: Middle Creek's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Middle Creek dropped their record down to 15-7 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell 6-3 to the Cary Imps. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Imps earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Middle Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Murray, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

As for Cary, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15. Six seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Cary's side, Taelin Hooker was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Hooker a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middle Creek will take on Person at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cary, they will challenge Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Imps' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
