Football Game Preview: Pleasant Home Eagles vs. McKenzie Tigers

The Pleasant Home Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the McKenzie Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Pleasant Home hadn't beaten Red Level on the road since October 21, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them last Friday. The Eagles enjoyed a cozy 32-14 win over the Tigers. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jacob Bryan was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 186 yards and two TDs while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Jack Wiggins was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pleasant Home was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Level only rushed for 36.

Pleasant Home didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cjscott1125 Chris Scott and Bryan.

Meanwhile, McKenzie strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 50-6 victory over Shields. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-6.

Pleasant Home's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for McKenzie, their record now sits at 5-0.

Pleasant Home took a serious blow against McKenzie in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 50-8. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
