Warren Central had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past the South Warren Spartans, posting a 71-41 win. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Spartans are ranked 52nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Warren Central's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for South Warren, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Warren Central will face off against Barren County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Barren County likes a good challenge. As for South Warren, they will challenge Franklin-Simpson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
