Baseball Recap: Northwest Lions vs. Oakville Tigers
Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Oakville Tigers, falling 7-1. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Northwest got a good showing from Gio Cignetti, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Cignetti has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances.
