Softball Recap: Ida B. Wells Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Ida B. Wells was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against the Estacada Rangers, falling 12-1.

Ida B. Wells saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jill Warberg, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Hayden Miramontes also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Ida B. Wells dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Estacada, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ida B. Wells will venture away from home to challenge David Douglas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Estacada, they will challenge North Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
