Glencoe hadn't done well against Jacksonville recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. For the Yellowjackets, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Golden Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Glencoe who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 15-25, 15-10.

Mia Talbot paced Glencoe's offense, picking up 14 kills. Talbot got some help from Kinlee Montgomery and her 14 assists.

Glencoe now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jacksonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glencoe will venture away from home to take on White Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jacksonville, they will head out to square off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
