Football Recap: Beverly Hills Comes Up Short on the Road Against Vasquez + How To Watch

Beverly Hills kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Vasquez Mustangs 49-21. The Normans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.

Beverly Hills lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aiden Gecovich, who picked up 121 receiving yards and one score. Beverly Hills also got help from Matt Bueno, who showed off his sure hands for 92 receiving yards.

Zack Van Ornum was a one-man wrecking crew For Vasquez. as he rushed for 167 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. Those 167 rushing yards gave Van Ornum a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Blake Mascon, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beverly Hills will face off against George Washington Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vasquez, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Roybal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
