Basketball Recap: Greenfield Comes Up Short

If Greenfield was feeling good fresh off their 70-45 takedown of Gonzales last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greenfield Bruins fell 64-52 to the St. Francis Sharks on Friday. The Bruins have struggled against the Sharks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Greenfield now has a losing record at 10-11. As for St. Francis, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenfield won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against York at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. York knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Greenfield likes a good challenge. As for St. Francis, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pacific Collegiate at 7:00 p.m.
