Cross had won two straight home games and Mah'Ky Green did his part to make it three on Friday. The Trojans blew past the Scott's Branch Eagles 38-14 with plenty of help from Green, who rushed for 145 yards and one TD, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and one touchdown. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.8 rushing yards per game.

One reason for the win was Cross' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Scott's Branch's side was Khalil Levine, who picked up a sack and made four total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Cross' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Scott's Branch, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Cross and Scott's Branch will both be playing Bethune-Bowman the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Mohawks at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
