River Valley took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Clear Fork, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings won by a run and slipped past the Colts 15-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since April 8th.

River Valley let Kylie Eastep and Chloe Addis run wild. Eastep got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Addis got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Eastep is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Emersyn Isom was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

River Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.

The victory snapped River Valley's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-5 record. As for Clear Fork, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-6.

Coming up, River Valley will challenge Olentangy at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Clear Fork, they will square off against Fredericktown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Freddies have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
