Softball Recap: Strom Thurmond Find Success

Strom Thurmond took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against North Augusta, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rebels won by a run and slipped past the Yellow Jackets 9-8. This was payback for the Rebels, who suffered a 12-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Addyson Harrison, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Leigh Anne Strock, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Strom Thurmond moved to 10-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for North Augusta, their record now sits at 8-8.

Coming up, Strom Thurmond will welcome American Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for North Augusta, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Aiken on the 17th.
