Firebaugh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .472. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hoover only posted a batting average of .292.
The win got Firebaugh back to even at 8-8. As for Hoover, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
Firebaugh will welcome Lynwood at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.57 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hoover, they will head out to take on Immaculate Heart at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
